Hello from this gorgeous view and this Chloe raffia banana tote in fuchsia, a great color-match for the florals growing on my hotel balcony. Think they planned that? Brilliant if so.
I went to Taormina with Net-a-Porter and Chloé, and it was truly a divine trip. The hotel, Villa Sant’Andrea, was equally divine. So for this week’s In Rotation, I thought it would be fun to pull together my entire Sicily hotel wardrobe and document it all in one place.
As always, if you’re here for mental exercise, I suggest leaving and checking back on Sunday. If you’re in the mood for aesthetic stimulation in the form of clothes and accessories, welcome to In Rotation, my twice-monthly ode to all the outfits I’m wearing, loving, washing, and repeating. It’s called In Rotation because, truthfully, I wear the same things over and over again. Scroll on for the looks I packed for Sicily.
Catch the last edition of In Rotation here. Watch my Live Q&A with the director of the E. Jean Carroll documentary here. This is probably too long for your inbox. Sorry.
Have you ever seen a more perfect mini dress? The lace trim at the neckline is very good. Doen also has a nice white mini. Paired it with a sculptural shoulder bag called the Soleil which was fitting, obviously. Both are Chloe. The hairdo was part of the look, and if you thought this newsy would be devoid of seashells, I’m sorry to tell you that is not the case, because…
Same dress, different accessories. The dress is patchwork suede from Versace; this picture doesn’t do it justice, the detailing is impeccable. The suede clogs are also Versace and are currently 50% off, and here is the canvas tote. This is a full Dario Vitale for Versace look by the way. DARIO DID NOT GET ENOUGH TIME.
For further inspection… the canvas tote and suede clogs (again, 50% off right now, and I can confirm they look great but are also comfortable, ideal for the hills of Sicily).
Think pink, specifically when it comes to pants, right? These Chloe jeans are the perfect pastel. Slightly compressive and really flattering. Comfy enough to wear on a plane. Paired with ruched leather slides. Today I’m wearing a tee from Plain Jane. Chanel bag. And as for the necklaces: not sure who would part with their Sara Beltran, but that person must be deeply unwell or trying to save up for some Fall Jessica McCormack… I guess understandable if you’re trying to stay ahead. IYKYK the selection in the Secret Shop is fab. Anyway, these are GREAT and on The Real Real right now: here, here, and here. This is my actual necklace.
The exact prints of these pants is older, but you can find a pair or two on FWRD right now… on pretty big sale actually. You can snag them in blue though. There’s also a matching bandeau bikini top. I’m dying for the bottoms now because I bought the top only to go with the skirt. But now I’m like, why wouldn’t I buy the bottoms?? (Maybe bc $600… but I digress.) Do we need the ONE PIECE too??? The neckline is straight as opposed to triangle. Chloe sunnies, fuchsia tote.
